Bringing Care to Your Doorstep
ADA Home Care provides senior home care, dementia care, companionship, hospital discharge support, overnight care, respite care, and personal support services throughout Toronto. Below are answers to some of the questions families ask most often.
ADA Home Care was founded by Aleksandra Cerovic, a pharmacist with a Master’s Degree and PhD in Pharmacy. Our approach combines compassionate caregiving with healthcare-informed support.
In addition to personal care and companionship, we help families navigate the healthcare system, understand available community resources, and recognize potential health concerns early. Many families appreciate our communication system, which can include caregivers, family members, and our founder in a dedicated group chat to keep everyone informed and connected.
ADA Home Care was founded by Aleksandra Cerovic, a pharmacist with a Master’s Degree and PhD in Pharmacy.
While our caregivers do not replace physicians or nurses, our healthcare background helps us better understand medications, chronic health conditions, hospital discharge plans, and changes in a client’s condition.
Families often appreciate having a knowledgeable healthcare professional available to help them navigate community resources, understand healthcare recommendations, communicate with healthcare providers, and recognize concerns that may require medical attention.
Our goal is to provide not only compassionate caregiving, but also guidance and support that helps families make informed decisions about their loved one’s care.
In many cases, care can begin within 24 to 48 hours following an assessment. We understand that families often contact us during urgent situations such as hospital discharge, a fall, a sudden illness, or caregiver burnout, and we do our best to arrange support as quickly as possible.
ADA Home Care provides home care services throughout Midtown Toronto and surrounding communities, including Leaside, Davisville Village, Forest Hill, Rosedale, Lawrence Park, Moore Park, East York, North York, and other areas within Toronto.
Our caregivers assist with personal care, bathing, dressing, mobility support, meal preparation, companionship, medication reminders, light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, transportation to appointments, dementia care, respite care, overnight care, post-hospital recovery support, and palliative care support.
A Personal Support Worker (PSW) helps clients with non-medical daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, companionship, light housekeeping, mobility assistance, shopping, and support with daily routines.
A nurse provides clinical and medical services such as wound care, catheter changes, injections, medication administration, health assessments, and other nursing procedures.
Because nursing care requires specialized clinical training and licensing, nursing services are typically more expensive than PSW services.
Many clients benefit from a combination of both services. For example, a nurse may visit periodically for wound care or catheter management, while a PSW provides ongoing daily support to help the client remain safe and comfortable at home.
At ADA Home Care, our pharmacist founder works closely with families and healthcare professionals to help identify the most appropriate level of care for each client’s needs.

One of the features families appreciate most is our communication and care coordination system.
For many clients, we create a dedicated communication group that may include family members, caregivers, and Aleksandra, founder of ADA Home Care. This allows families to receive updates, ask questions, and stay informed about their loved one’s care in real time.
This collaborative approach provides reassurance and helps ensure concerns are addressed promptly.
